I left the station around 9:30 and had 15 miles to do today. It was a really great day for walking; high of 55, partly sunny, and a slight breeze. I had a pretty good shoulder to walk on all day as well. I found an old road that was probably the old highway at some point, and followed that for a bit before it got swallowed up by what is now the highway.
These hills are different from what I passed through in northern Kentucky. Still an ancient sea bed (I believe) but it crumbles so easily, and there are so many colors. I haven't found any fossils in it yet though, but I'll keep looking!
I got to the Days Inn right outside of Vernon around 2:30 and showered and walked over to Denny's for dinner. Other than that, not much more to say. Spent the evening totally relaxing and catching up on some shows while working on routes.
