The EMS crew got a lot of calls last night, and I was awake off and on the entire night, but I slept till 11, so that was nice. I was starving when I woke up, so I ate two packets of oatmeal and a freeze dried meal. I sat around and watched the guys give a lesson on CPR with some other paramedics, and waited until Krystal's granddaughter, Katie, came to pick me up.
The crew took me to Subway for lunch and of course, they got a call as soon as we got there so I got my sandwich and went straight back to the station. Thanks for everything guys! I will always remember 30 to 2.... :) hahaha
Katie showed up a short time after, and took me down to the elementary school to meet up with Krystal who took me back to the restaurant, and I got set up in my cute, comfy cabin. My view is definitely a million-dollar view, and I just sat in front of the window and did a bunch of work getting ready for my big finish!! I was starving again right around 6 so I walked to over to the restaurant and ate some fantastic spaghetti and a slice of vinegar pie that was surprising really, really good. I talked with Krystal a bit, and learned that the restaurant has been around for over 60 years and there used to be bears in cages out front, and that's how they used to bring people in back in the day and vinegar pie was invented back in the depredation when they couldn't afford lemons for lemon pie, so they used vinegar instead! (tastes just like lemon pie) Later I came back to my room and finished up my work before hitting the hay. Great, relaxing day.
