I had a great nights sleep at the Quality Inn last night. I left the hotel around 8:40, and still wasn't sure where I would be sleeping tonight, so that meant I was ether walking 17 miles or up 24 miles.
Before I left town, a police offer stopped, with the last name of Funk. He stopped see if I needed anything and we got to talking and I asked him if he knew anyone in Church Hill since I still didn't have a place to stay. He said; "yes, as a matter of fact, I do." awesome! So he called his contact, Nathan, and his wife Michelle, and they both said yes, I was welcome to come spent the night.
I was stopped A LOT today, and it took nearly 9 hours to walk 22 miles. I was given a lot food, and ate some of the best BBQ pork I have ever had from a restaurant called Pig and Chick. I had a interview at the end of the day, and got to Nathan's house right after the sun went down. His son came out to find me and escorted back to his house. Which I was I was thankful for because he helped me push BMW up the last big hill to their home.
We had a great home-cooked meal and stayed up talking well into the night (for me anyway). Some other cops came over to say hi, and Funk came by and hung out all night too. I haven’t laughed so much for awhile, they are all hilarious and while staying with them, I didn’t really get any work done what-so-ever, but that's fine, because I had such a good time while I was there. Thank you Nathan and Michelle!
