So it’s 1:00 in the morning in Atlanta, GA (but I’m posting when I get up) and while I lay here in bed wide awake because I am still on Tucson time, I realized that I now I have a sister, yay! My brother just got married to a wonderful and beautiful woman with whom I have quickly grown to love and welcome her to our family with open arms.
I also realized that when I fly out on Monday, I will not be flying home. I will be flying to Seattle to prepare for my Walk which starts on Wednesday from the coast and I don’t know when I will see my home, family, or friends again. 8 months? 9 months? Sometime next year anyway…
While soaking up those thoughts, it came to me that, for now, I am also homeless, and jobless. Which is crazy to think about, but I absolutely LOVE IT. Total 100% FREEDOM. For the next 9 months! I can say that so confidently because I know whenever I do decide it’s time to come home, I have wonderful, amazing and loving family and friends to come home to. I also know that I will have two AWESOME “jobs” that I love very much to come home to. I cannot believe how fortunate I am.
