My appointment was at 2 at their NICU center. They had a nice little event they put together for the parents to make strength bracelets and sign up for the Beads of Courage program if they hadn't all ready. They also had tea and cookies and I just hung out for an hour or so after giving out my beads and some Courage Tigers. It was really nice, and a lot of fun. Gwinnett was BOC's first NICU center, and they have a "Wall of Courage" right when you first walk in. Full of pictures of tiny little babies with their Beads of Courage and a nicely framed article about Beads of Courage coming into the hospital. It was beautiful.
I left the hospital around 3:30 and headed back to Athens. I meet Jim at Enterprise and dropped off the car, then we went out to a bar called The Globe and meet a couple of his friends and had a drink before going out to dinner at a local brewery called Copper Creek. After that, we came home and started a movie called "A midnight in the garden of good and evil" (a movie about Savannah) before going to bed. Great day, great hospital visit, can't complain!
