13th:
Today was super short, with only 12 miles to walk. However it was rather boring since all of it was on the highway and therefore I had to put all my energy into watching traffic. Luckily there was a bike lane for much of the day so it wasn't too too bad.
I got into Madison around 1 and went to Kim's boutique Amelia's Apparel and hung out with a the second newspaper reporter of the day and around 2 a friend of Kim's came and took me to Madison Fitness Center to take shower (Kim and her husband own that as well). After that she brought back to downtown and I had lunch at Perk's Avenue and then walked over to the welcome center and got some names and numbers of some possible places to stay in some up coming towns.
Kim had also booked a massage at Pure Bliss and a chiropractic visit at Madison Family Chiropractic Center for this evening as well... So needless to say, I had a pretty magnificent day and I was ready to pass out not long after dinner.
14th:
Today I slept in a little and Kim came home to pick me to take me to Enterprise to get my rental car. I went back into town to get my cart from her office, and walked back over to Perk Avenue for lunch. Today I had Asparagus soup that was to die for. Then I went back to Kim's and worked on beads for my hospital visits tomorrow as well as blogging and networking and all that good stuff...
It was an absolutely perfect day; with a high around 60 and sunny. So I sat on a chair on the porch out back to do my work, and played with the cute little dachshund. I left Kim's around 4 to head to Atlanta to spend the night at Dave and his wife's house. I met David in a bar in Chicago while I was visiting with a childhood friend... Crazy, I know.
I got pretty close to Atlanta before calling Dave's wife, and found out her kids were sick. So she was kind enough to put me up for a night in Decatur. Thank you guys! So I spent the night in a Super 8, and got a good nights rest for my big day tomorrow.
