Had a great day today. My walking was all on the old 51 highway, and around 1 Kara, Paul and kids stopped to eat lunch with me! They brought some food and we sat down and had a little picnic on the side of the road. I really appreciated that because I didn't really get a chance to say good bye to anyone that morning, or the night before. Their girls are so sweet! Even the crazy one.... ;) and their youngest son might be one of the cutest babies ever. Love you guys! Thanks for everything!
I got some donations today, including one of the Wyoming's State Senior's assistant, maybe, something like that... I also got a bag of ice from a guy who sells and distributes ice in the area. That was pretty cool, he saw me the other day back in Sheridan, and when he saw me today he stopped. Which was great, because my water in my backpack could always use some ice.
When I got to Moorcroft, Dusty,my next host, picked me up and we went back to the house and I meet his wife, Jacklyn. They have two cute little girls and an awesome pound-puppy that loves to ride on the back of ATV's. Which is what we did after dinner when Dusty took the girls to their Grandparents place down the road. We headed into their ranch and they took me to an absolutely stunning view of Devil's Tower from up in the canyon. What a great ride; Artemisia everywhere and Coneflower and Mexican Hat, as well as pines and other conifers. From their canyon they also have an amazing view of Keyhole Lake and the some beautiful sunsets.
Tonight I am staying in a little pop-up trailer, and I get to listen to crickets down by the lake and the cows...
