Today was my official start of the BOC walk. Jean and the Bonenko family meet Kathy and I at Magnoson Park where we began our 16 mile day together. The Bonenkos did the first 2 miles with us, which I thought was fantastic since they had an 8 year old with them. Jean and I finished out the rest and walked on the beautiful Burke Gilman Trail where I stopped at one point when some men were asking me about my cart and I asked them if they had a house nearby and if I could use their bathroom. I think Jean might have thought I was a little crazy, but I have learned to take every opportunity when they arise. By the way, they did have a house right on the water, and were more than happy to let me use their bathroom even though their house was completely under construction.
We continued on all the way to Redhook Brewery where Ted and family meet us and had dinner, and picked us up to take us back to the park so Jean could get her car and took me back to their house again so I could take Sunday off.
I would just like say, Jean finished the entire 16 miles with me! With no prior training! Great job Jean!!
