Ted dropped me off back in Woodville, and I continued on my way up to Monroe, WA. A rather uneventful day I’m assuming because I can’t remember anything about it. I usually have little voice recording of my day, and even on the days where I forget to do that, I still remember what happened, but I don’t remember much about this walk, except for the very end when I got into Monroe, and came across a girl (maybe 20?) who seemed to be dressed up for a play...
She was wearing a cute brown dress that came down to her knees that puffed out a bit so it moved when she walked. She was also wearing cream-colored stocking and brown flat shoes. Her top was a kind of corset of brown and cream. She had very short, bob hair cut with little reading glasses on. (I have no idea why I remember so much of her, I guess because we were walking up to each other for 5-10 minutes). When we finally went to pass one another, I smiled, and when she smiled back, she smiled with a tight, closed-lip smile and slightly tilled her head to the side and continued on her way without a word… Talk about weird… So I don’t think what she was wearing was a costume at all (to her) and that’s just how she goes about her day. I don’t know. But it made me laugh out loud after she was out of ear shot.
I stopped for the day right before you leave town to head towards the Mts. at a 7elevn. There, Dave and his daughter Aleks picked me up. He is Ben’s father, and my first stay with a BOC family! We stopped and got some really good Teriyaki food and took it home to Jacque, Ben. I had a great evening with the family in their beautiful home with a great view of downtown Seattle. Super chill, and very relaxing and maybe a little crazy sometimes. I had a big, super comfy bed and, of course, had no trouble passing out.
