The only real good thing was a bunch of people saw me in Cashmere. Which is funny, because I didn't even stop there... But they all found me on FB or my blog. Yay!
I was actually pretty happy to see the big hill coming into town because that meant I only had a few more miles to go. So I powered up the hill and headed into Wenatchee where I meet my next family, the McMullens. Patty McMullen is the sister of one of my best friend's, cousin's Mom... Right.
They were so wonderful! We had a great dinner of chicken stir fry, but instead of rice, Patty mashed up cauliflower and it was sooo good! Patty took me to Safeway so I could buy some food for the coming week and then to a new market that opened up where her daughter, Kristin works at the gelato shop so we could have a bite and I could meet her. She very much so reminded me of myself at her age; she is only 19, and has been to Europe three times and traveled quite extensively own her own. I'm excited for her! There is so much beautiful world out there to see, and she has the motivation and determination to go out and see it, and I hope she does.
When we got home, we sat on the couch enjoying some wine and talked about my next week coming up. They were super great in helping me plan out my time a little better and gave me some tips about what to expect.
Another great night, with another great family. I'm so lucky to be meeting so many wonderful people on this adventure.
