After the deer and cat incident we finished packing up camp and ate hard boiled eggs and a banana for breakfast.
It was rather uneventfulday, we had to get nearly 30 miles in so we didn't stop a whole a lot. We walked trough a couple of small towns and I talked to couple of people about my Walk. And made our way to highway 8, where we stopped for a very quick lunch and had a couple of quick stops for snacks. It was a very long day but we made it. The small town USA is a wonderful thing. Beautiful old houses and farms with tons of horses. I picked a lot of flowers from the side of the road and just tried to soak it up as much as I could. Beautiful old bridges and people are generally really good about moving out of our way while we were on the road.
When we got into Elma, we ate at a wonderful restaurant called the Rusty Tracker and I had an awesome burger with onions green peppers, pepper jack cheese and bacon! With a Redhook beer to wash it all down. A great way to end a 30 mile day.
We finally got to our next stopping point at a cute little RV park called Elma RV Park. Our host, Rea, is a very nice lady and keeps a very clean, lovely, quite RV park. In the morning we had delicious cookies with coffee and tea!
