Today was a wonderful day. Amy's Mom came over at 9:30 this morning and cooked us a fantastic breakfast including waffles, bacon, apple crisp, blueberries, and strawberries with whip cream. mmmmmmm
Around 1:30, my Uncle Harry's good friend, Mary, came by to take me out to lunch! it was so nice to finally get the opportunity to meet her! I know she has been following me for awhile. We went to Red Robin and had soup and salad and then we went over to Dick's Sporting Goods, and she bought me some waterproof gloves and some AWESOME BRIGHT RED pants! lol they are ridiculous snow pants, but I think they will be perfect for those very cold days and nights I'll have up in the mountains of Kentucky and Tennessee. Thank you so much Mary!
We got back to Amy's around 5, and at about 5:30, Garry arrived to take me back to his home where I will be spending the next few nights with him and his wife Julie. I met Garry back in South Dakota, late August I believe? He was on his on adventure to Yellowstone. (Click here to check out his blog) We hit it off right away, and to be honest, I totally forgot he lived here in Indy and I was so happy when he emailed me a few ago to see if I needed any help when I got here!
My friend Josh from back home will be coming out to join me for the next week and he'll be here late tonight. I had been trying to find some help for lodging and shuttle rides to and from where we needed to be, and Garry was the perfect man for the job! Actually, quite a few people in Indy reached out to help us, and I thank everyone who offered their assistance!
Garry and I got back to his house around 6, and I stayed up with him and Julie talking till 9, and then hit the hay for the night.
