I must really need a bit of a break. I have either lost, or broke several important items in the last week, and now I've lost my pepper spray. I spent nearly 1 1/2 hours looking for the thing along the side of the road where I thought for sure I would have dropped, and even went to the police station to see if anyone had dropped it off. No luck. But luckily! A friend of Tom went way out of her way to help me get a new one! And by the end of the, day I was set with not one, but TWO cans of pepper spray. :)
My day started off well enough, Tom took me to breakfast at the local cafe, and drove me back down to Ridgeway, so I could do the first 6 miles without BMW. I walked from Ridgeway back to Barneveld and picked up BMW and headed off for Verona. I was stopped by a man who made me a cucumber juice drink that was amazing and few other people stop who just wanted to know what I was up to. I walked on the Military Ridge trail sometimes, but most of the day I spent on the road so people would see me, and stop to hopefully give some donations.
Tom came picked me up around 5 and took me down to Fitchburg where I would be staying for the next few nights with Tenneille and her folks. She had the cutest set up for me! Chocolates and a welcome basket full of goodies, it was super cute and awesome! Her friend stopped by with wine, and we enjoyed some great Wisconsin cheese, and wine before dinner.
