I want to say sorry advance, but this blog will be short and sweet. The last two days have been long. Now bad, just long, and I really just want to get caught up with everything I need to do. The 2nd, was a nice day, and just trying to get miles in because it was 50 miles to Cresco. The high light of the 2nd would be when Beth and her Mom stopped to meet me. Beth got diagnosed with Leukemia last month, and has already started collecting Beads of Courage. I gave her one of my shoe bead and a card, and didn't want to see them go. Beautiful girl, I hope they keep me updated with how she is doing.
The 3rd was rainy in the morning. It was going to be a 25 mile day and I was hoping for nothing too crazy as far as weather goes. I was lucky enough to make it to the Lime Springs gas station right before a big storm hit. I stayed there for 1 1/2 hours, and the lady that ran the place bought me lunch! So I had a pizza and a soda. When the storm finally ended I still had 14 miles to go. So I took some back roads that were nice and quite through Amish country and got to Marian's house in Cresco at 6 PM. She took me to a local diner for dinner, and we came home and talked about world travels for a bit before writing this, and going to bed! So tired, need to catch up on some sleep.
