Another day without BMW! A marathon day though, 26.3 miles total. Down highway 76, which was a beautiful road. I came to the bluffs down by the Mississippi and was surrounded by all the trees changing and steep cliffs.
I was sooooo glad not to have BMW though. The road was pretty sketchy during the bluffs, with no shoulder, and little dirt to walk on before it plunged downward. But easy enough since I was by myself. I actually had an old woman slow way down to pass me, even though I was on the dirt away from the road, and as soon as we met eyes, she motioned for me to move! Move out of the way! I looked around, and then looked at her like she was crazy, and flipped her off. Yes I did. Tired of people being ridiculous and thinking they know the laws, when they don't, so I flip them off.
I got a good laugh about it afterwards and that was about the only excitement for the day. Which is fine. Tonight and tomorrow I am staying at the Cobblestone Inn, which is a new, clean hotel, and I couldn't hear anything in the rooms around me, which was nice because then I could listen to my music louder than I normally get to. I also ate down at the Lady Luck casino at their buffet which was really good, they had just about everything you could want, and I ate it all. I'm so tired, and looking forward to a day off tomorrow. Then on to Wisconsin! State 8!
