I felt much better this morning. Got a late start but the weather was still nice and cool out. I got stopped only once by someone who saw me on TV. She was so funny! She pulled over so fast, I thought at first she had a serious problem or something, but then she popped her head out of the car and asked if I was the girl she saw on TV the other night, and I said yes, laughing, and she got so excited. She went back inside of her car for a moment, and then jumped out and ran over to me, and gave me a donation and took a bunch of pictures, all the while saying she was going to be late for class but didn't care because this was way cooler and much more exciting. She gave me a big hug and said that in the interview, I said that sometimes I ask myself why i am doing this, and then I remind myself that the kids I am walking for can't just quite their journeys, so neither can I, and she said that that inspired her so much, and made her believe she can never quite either, and gave me another hug. That made my day!!!
I also stopped and talked with a construction crew that was waiting around for lunch time. They gave me some cinnamon buns and I stood around and talked with them for about 20 minutes, then a family member of Nancy and Al stopped to say hi, and gave me a donation as well.
So it was a good, quick day and my next host, Stephan, came and picked me up at 3:15, and took me to his house where he and his wife, Jade, and their two cute little boys live. I showered and we ate, and sat on the couch the rest on the evening and told stories.
