So I've walked over 1,600 miles so far and today I crossed into time zone number 3, and what a beautiful day it was! Never got above 85 I think and the wind was blowing from a direction that didn't bother me pushing BMW, not-to-mention it was a cool breeze for a change. Maybe a sign of things to come?
I didn't talk to a single soul all day. No one stopped, maybe only 7 or 8 cars all day. Saw this hawk in the picture and she didn't fly away! They always fly away, long before I get to where they are. She was just on the other side of the street, but I didn't want to get too close, she already let me get close enough.
Bonnie cooked me a great breakfast, and her and Bruce bought my hotel room that I am staying in tonight. The owner here is sooo nice! Very sweet guy. Super clean room with big fluffy pillows (there's four on the bed!! I love pillows!) He was nice enough to let me do my laundry and gave me a beer when I asked him where the nearest store was.
And that's about it. Another beautiful day spent enjoying my quite solitude and the beauty around me. Not a bad way to spend the first of the month.
