I had a great day! Beautiful weather, great people, and an amazing room, again! Had another TV interview, which I will update later when they post it. But instead of talking to much about my day, I wanted to share something I posted on Facebook:
2,020 miles walked in 141 days. I have climbed up and over Mt. Everest from sea to summit nearly 3 times over...
Yet... It still feels like the Cascade mountain range back in Washington should be just beyond the horizon behind me. I have met TONS of AMAZING people; people willing to take in a perfect stranger and trust me, as much as I must trust them. People stop and shake my hand, give me hugs, food, water, money... Sometimes we share tears about loved ones who have lost their battles with cancer, but share smiles in knowing those people touched a lot of lives, and fought hard.
EVERYONE has a story. We should all stop, take a moment out of our crazy, hectic day, and JUST LISTEN. Believe me, it will help you to appreciate your own life a little bit more, no matter how bad it may seem sometimes.
I am now more than half done. But not quite half way to my goal. Please help me reach my goal, and donate! And believe me when I say every dollar counts. The power of a bead seems so simple, but it means so much. Not just to the child I give them to, but to me as well. I carry these beads everywhere I go, knowing they will have a special home with a child that truly needs the LOVE and DETERMINATION and COURAGE I put into each step getting that bead to its rightful owner. But I can only do this with the help of all of you! THANK YOU to EVERYONE who has helped me on my AMAZING journey across AMERICA.
It has been everything I imagined it to be and so much more; so much harder, so much more beautiful, so much more worth it!!! My memories will last me a life time, and thank you to everyone, from the bottom of my heart, who has helped me create them. I will never forget.
